Did your M Performance exhaust come with the Chrome tips on already? I ordered the exhaust and the Chrome tips were "required" I also ordered the CF finishers, but I can not figure out how to get the chrome ones off and the CF ones on. Any thoughts?

No, the tips are extra. Your exhaust will not come with tips, so don't worry about taking anything off, just putting stuff on.

The stock tips at least have some prongs that are sorta bent in a way so that they are grabbing onto the exhaust pipes where they flare out a little bit. It was fairly difficult to get them off, I had to use a block of wood up against the tips and hit the block with a mallet and slowly worked them off. You can see what the tips grab onto in this shot |

Mine came already installed on the car. Was installed at port. Now I have chrome tips and CF tips(which were ordered separately). So basically to get the chrome tips off just have to pull/bang really hard?

Look on the underside of the chrome tip there's a locking nut/ star shaped grub screw (T15 bit size)
Just swopped mine out make sure to use the right bit size if it gets rounded you may have problems |

M Performance Exhaust
Hi,
I am new to the forum. My EB M235i is being delivered this week (hopefully!). Had a question on the M Performance Exhaust, does it go into 'quiet' mode when you are in the 'Comfort' setting and open up in 'Sport' and 'Sport+'? Or is it loud all the time? |

Does anyone know if you could fit dual tips to each exhaust.
I want to buy an M Performance exhaust because I like that it has a subtle sound, but like the look of the quad systems by Eisenmann and Armytrix. Any ideas, or should I start a new thread? |

The trouble you will run in to is finding a diffuser to fit with 4 poo chutes instead of 2. You can always go to a local muffler shop and see what they come up with, but it won't necessarily be cheaper. It could be, but it might not. Either way you should report back with pictures!

There is a Japanese company that makes a nice rear diffuser for quad pipes for the M235i. It's pricey, the whole piece is superbly made carbon fiber.
