Really? Do you have a screen shot to prove this?

It'd be great if you could let everyone know where to find it

I'd love to be able to tweak more audio settings, but as I said, I don't believe there is any option available. |

Great write up.
I would say we are in the same boat. Except I've felt this way about a few of the many cars I've owned. Still waiting on the M car, too. |

You can skip random tracks with the left/right buttons on the head unit.

Could you please describe what the EQ menu looks like and what menu or sub-menu it is located? Many thanks

Sorry, but I'm a former recording engineer, live in LA, and drive a brand new M235i w/ the HK upgrade. If there were a graphic or parametric equalizer available in this car, I would know about it. There's a control module/amp mounted somewhere on the driver's side…behind the panel in the back seat or perhaps against the wall in the trunk. This amp unit *may* have some fixed frequency response curves/crossovers in it to counter specific frequency issues in the 2 series speakers and acoustics. It may also have volume and/or speed-sensitive logic in it that emphasizes bass and treble at certain volumes/speeds. Not sure about this, but if so, it is hard-wired into the head or amp unit and not a user-definable equalizer. The user controls are as others have stated (Treble, bass, fader, balance, etc.). |

There is another thread where this has been beaten to death.
Final verdict is that it does not have an equalizer (and Bass and Treble alone do not make up an equalizer, just in case there is any confusion on that). What I am unsure about whether this is hardware dependent or something BMW can fix with a software update. |
