LCA different on mx35i maybe due to these models having xenons as standard. Looking at GSR stock LCA photo in this thread, xenon equipped cars LCA are different as the LH LCA have small dimples to locate the headlight regulator rod.
The other lower wishbone part (tension strut) had same part number for all F2x and F3x. |

Those specific LCAs were developed for Mx35i and are only installed on those cars. BMW talk about that when M135i was launched.
There is no link to xenon autoleveling. If you have xenon you have a small bracket fixed on LCA and LCA has two bumps to maintain it. You are right that all other wishbone parts seem identical to other F2x/F3x. |

Given the road noise on mx35i compared to lesser f2x, LCA bushes maybe more solid on mx35i LCAs......
I believe the geometry ie LCA length is common between all f2x and F3x

Ok, we finally received the tension struts from BMW last week. I have a completely stock 235i with xenons scheduled to come in at the end of this week to do a test fit with the F8x complete package with lower control arms, tension struts and the headlight leveling rod. I will post up with the findings asap.

Quick update, the big news is the F22 and F8x tension struts are the same length, so no real reason to upgrade this other than the firmer bushing in the F8x part. If you do want to use the M4 parts, it will require spacers as the bushing is narrower than the stock F22 bushing. More to come on this.
The bad news is that for xenon cars, the F8x headlight level sensor rod is not even close to working, too short. We are looking into making a piece that will work with the F8x lower control arms. Also, as i8ur911 found, camber is increased by 1 degree on an otherwise stock car. We have been super busy here at the shop but I'll try to get the full writeup with pictures done this week. |

Will do. TS - same length as stock M235i but bushing is stiffer LCA - about 10mm longer than stock M235i with stiffer bushing and a different connection to xenon levelling rod on LHS LCA. BP

DVC,
Yes that seems to be the easiest way to get the required ball studs as they are included with the M3/M4 regulating rod. As the HP Autosport guys pointed out, that way you can use the stock F3x plastic rod and attach it to the M3/M4 control arm which appears to be close enough in length that it should work fine. |

The M235i has got LCA of the same length as the other F2x and F3x vehicles, right? Only with slightly stiffer bushings, which are still not as stiff as the M3/M4 LCA Bushings?
Are there more geometrical suspension differences between the normal F3x and M3/M4 apart from different material and bushing choices? Thanks |
