F*uck F*uckity F*ck F*ck...

damnnn...yesterday was a long day...i was going to the mall to hang out with my friends but there was a lot of traffic so when given the option to detour i clicked yes...the palisades shopping center which is usually 15 minutes from my house took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to...then i hung out with my friends for 2 hours, got my mom some birthday presents [it was her birthday yesterday] and then ran to my car cause it was still raining and it was getting a bit late...i hit the unlock button on my remote and nothing happens and as i got to the car i touched the handle [i have CA] and nothing happened...so i took out my valet key and unlocked the car and it wouldnt start...i guess i left something on after being in a hurry as a result of being 2 hours late...at first i went inside to security which was on the other side of the mall which took 7 minutes to get to...they said they couldnt do anything and they would need to call a tow truck and it would cost $70 to jump start...i said forget it and went back to the car [14 minutes total] i asked people if they had jumper cables for about 30 minutes [total 44 minutes] then i saw a police officer and asked him for help and he said that there was an accident just outside the parking lot and to wait and he'd be there in a few minutes...i waited 20 minutes [1 hour 4 minutes] then went to sit in my car......a few minutes later i realized...I HAVE BMW ASSIST...IM SO STUPID WHY DIDNT I JUST CALL THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE? so i google the number from my phone and call them....gave them my VIN, phone number and address and 5 minutes later a tow truck came and started my car! for bmw assist...

[mods, please dont close the thread...if you must, just change the title ]

That sucks.

Did you try pressing the BMW Assist WMD button in your car?
I think i programmed their number (and the concierge) into my phone the day I got my car.

To his defense nothing dumb was done on his part. He close the car and get back 2 hr later - battery dead.
The same happen to me ( 44 yr old). Car didn't start, BMW assist send track - he can't jump me too. Tow me to near BMW center - get battery replaced (1 yr old car) by warranty.

Daddy should have bought you a dictionary??? Or the smarts to use a browser that has spell check.

To all who knock, yes he is young and yes the story is funny. But I think we can all relate to having a bad day and wanting to vent. Don't jump people when all they are looking for is "damn that sucks, glad it was not serious"

Jump starting a car is not good for your car or the other car. Always just get it towed unless you really need to jumpstart it.

i know that as soon as i got there i made sure my headlights were on auto and my wipers were...my vanity lights were off so i guess i hit the Start/Stop button twice quickly and since i was so late i left the car without making sure the nav was off...thats the only thing that i can think of that couldve happened...but you guys are more than welcome to help me find out

Technically, you can drive at 16...but there are a lot of restrictions...I think you need someone over 18 in the passenger seat.

And for starters, if you want people to respect you, don't start the title with "F*ck, F*ck, F*ckity F*ck". You act like a child.
fine, i guess it was a bad attempt at some humor...it was a reference to south park if anyone here still watches it..

To the OP, for future reference, I believe that the roadside assistance number is in the trunk as a sticker on the right "shelf" thingy, atleast that's how it is in my E90.
thanks...but i saved the 1800 number in my phone...but if i ever happen to be in trouble and not have my phone ill keep that in mind!

Maybe they can afford an F-16, why dont you tell them to get you one?
hmm...welll i have 2 things to say to that..

1.) if i wanted to go fast, i could do so in a camry...that happens to be a pretty fast car for its price...

2.) what would you be more careful in, you're $70,000 BMW or $25,000 toyota?

pay them no mind. they are just jealous that you have the same car that they slave over. it happens; people are jealous. the important thing is that you have a BMW and that you should respect it. its not a toy and you shouldn't go racing around. if you do, you will learn the hard way. hey my first car was a 94 318i; not nice by todays standards but certainly not horrible. it was a 5yr old car at the time and i still got looks.

Wow, is it possible for NAV to drain your battery in 2 hours?

I would definitely give your dealer a call and ask what happened. That is not normal. Even the turn signal (Euro feature retained on US BMWs) parking light should not drain it overnight.
