Hi everyone! I'm located in near Old Town Alexandria and was wondering if there were any recommendations for places to get my state inspection since I don't keep the front plate mounted (I keep it in the trunk to show them if needed).

In addition, is there a good detailing place that can do a simple wash and vacuum front mats/clean windshield, and if so how much do they charge? I've previously gone to Speed and Tech Motoring but it's hard to get out there now that they aren't open on weekends anymore. Thanks for the help!

I've never had issues passing a safety inspection with no front tags. The last few times when I was in that area I went to the gas station in the corner across from the shopping center w the Lowe's on Rt 1. There's a car wash a block north of there too.

I don’t think the BMW dealerships will give you a hard time about the front license plate. They’re well aware that a lot of us either run a relocation kit or none at all. Only the rear plate is part of the inspection, and that’s to check that the light is working.
