best solution to protect babies eyes from sun while in the car?

Do any of you guys have any good solutions to lessen the amount of sun entering the back seats.I dont have the factory sunshade option. Not sure if I should get the shade retrofit kits and get really good tint.Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.thanks

Ceramic tint is really the way to go. I have 18% ceramic all around and my son has never so much as blinked at the sun except when it comes through the windshield. It also keeps the heat factor way down on those hot days which lets your AC work less to keep it cool inside. You can also pick up a rear sun shade for about 10 bucks for added protection.

The best solution to keep sun out of the baby's face is to use the collapsible sun visor that is built into most infant car seats. Beyond that, tinting the windows is a fine idea and helps keep the car interior cool once you're driving, but it isn't as good as the actual shade/shadow cast by the visor.

Honestly you should go 32% in the back.

I got 35-32 in mine and somehow the 3% actually makes a difference.

I would tint the windows. I actually did both the tint and ordered the sunshade. Otherwise you can use those pull down shades from Babies R Us.

I'm not a fan of window tint or the ones that clip on the window like the ones Gort posted. Our e90 has the sun shade option, but I use the suction cup type for my truck. Works great, and really easy to stick on and remove. I got a 3 pack from Costco a while back.

Kind of like these

Tint should work better than a sunshade alone IMO. UV rays still can get through the sunshade while tint blocks like 99%. The heat rejection is good for tint all around as well.
