2015 m235i - 21k mi - $32k - good deal?
High folks,
I'm looking for purchase an m235i 2015, w/ 21k miles, 11 months left on the factory warranty and purchasing a 6yr/100k mi extended warranty for ~$3500. Car price is $32k. I'll be buying from an independent dealer who does "no negotiating" Clean everything, has tech/prem/driver assistance and plus, cold weather, MPE, front splitter, black kidney grills, rear diffuser. I think this is a good deal based on the positive experience w/ talking to the sales reps and KBB pricing, but I want some experienced buyers to let me know if this is worth it. I've been dying to have one of these for a while especially how feels like an e46 m3. Any and all opinions welcome - Thanks! |

I'd say decent deal, not great. You could probably find lower price but it certainly would involve more work than driving to the local dealer.

I disagree with the others that this price is high. At least here in the northwest, dealers are asking $32-35k listing for a vehicle with that age/options and about 30k miles. Without nav/leather/backup camera, yeah you can find for ~$29k listed.

Yeah, $29k is doable... for a car with twice the mileage and half the options. 21K is relatively low mileage for a 2015. I have 25K on my 2015 and I think even THAT is low. |

That's not a horrible price, be sure to get a PPI done and have your BMW dealer run the vin through their system to make sure it hasn't been flagged for anything. Their database is like CarFax on crack.

For reference, I paid 32.3k before ttl for a 2016 M235i CPO w/ only 9K back in February. (estoril blue w/ oyster, automatic). It is in like new condition.
When I was browsing though I remember seeing 2016's w/ higher mileage(30-50k) than yours w/ CPO for around 32-25k i believe. I think if you're willing to watch prices for 2-3 months and potentially travel a few hours you can find a better deal.... have you looked on bmw's cpo site? the one I purchased ended up sitting for a few months for whatever reason and they kept dropping the price. I drove 3 hours to pick mine up in Biloxi, MS for reference. love the car but, steering leaves something to be desired. |

21 or 25K are ridiculously low for a 2015. A 2015 that went into service in late 2014 could easily have 55K and still be within "normal" range. 15K annually is average in the US.

Price seems high especially (maybe because of?) it being in the US. I was hunting for the M235i for the last 4 months or so, and in Canada they are going for around $36k to $39k CAD ($27.5K to 30k USD) for the fully loaded models, mostly x-drive and auto, for 2014s and 2015s, generally with under 25k miles.
e.g. this one is a fully loaded 2016. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/nvn/...627834605.html. This one only has 14k miles! I ended up picking a AW 2015 RWD w 1yr of factory warranty and service left, AT, No options except Sunroof, Heated steering and Terra leather (really wanted comfort access but oh well), with 14k Miles for about $25k USD. No accidents, brand new tires all around (nail in tire at the dealer when I went to pick up the car - that's another story). Moral of the long story - the deals are out there, but you have to search and wait for it. Might also be worth looking at the Canadian cars - I'm surprised that in this case (usually very rarely seen), it seems CAD M235is were generally cheaper than US ones! |

I've seen some M235i's for around $25k with under 40k miles, non-CPO though. Seems maybe a touch high.
