I just went to have a look at the specifications and damn this car is heavy! The heaviest number I saw for the 135i(E82) was 1570kg but the manual M235i weight 1590kg!!! 1603kg for the manual really heavy!

Comparing the Cdn stats for 135i coupe manual, and M235i coupe, manual the difference is about 120 pounds. Yes, it is heavier than the 135i, but also has more equipment standard.

Yes that`s true but they did the marketing telling us it was going to be lighter which is not the case. Even the CLA45AMG which is a AWD car and a much bigger car weight 1585kg.

I think BMW did acceptable but not outstanding job keeping weight of 2-series under control: M235i weights exactly the same as 135i Coupe in basic specifications despite being a bit larger and despite complying with more strict safety requirements. |
