Paintless dent repair?
Has anyone had paintless dent repair done? My M235 has two dents in it. One is a tiny door ding, the other is a larger dent from the wind blowing the passenger door open into a post at the gas station when my passenger was getting out. Neither dent has paint damage and are all but invisible unless you look at the car at the correct angle. I was just going to leave the dents alone but it’s really bugging me. PDR seems like a good solution here but I’m curious to know how other people’s experience went. I don’t want to even attempt it by myself, I’ll have a professional take care of it.

One caveat - it's hard where there are body creases. So your fender where it's got that hard line, that's tough to fix. Door ding - no problem.

I've had three PDR experiences, and each turned out completely flawless. (BTW, I used to concours, and am OCD picky.) The biggest damage was a large 6" dent from road debris on a lower door panel. Completely gone. Snoop around for a local shop you can trust.

And don't just go on Yelp reviews either, ask the local Porsche/Mercedes/BMW/whatever dealer where they send their stuff. Most dealers actually have a PDR guy who comes one day a week and just rotates around town.

You can't really say PDR is expensive for what the tech is doing, which to be fair requires a good deal of skill for truly great results. Compared to traditional repair it's the bargain of the century.

I was talking to my PDR guy while he was taking a dent out. I asked how long it took to get good enough to actually charge for his work. He said he practiced for 6 month before he could even do the easy ones well enough. It's an art.
