these add ons would put my 2016 228i xdrive at
base
240 +(59)=299
dinan said stock is
261+(59)= 320

Stock (crank) rated is 240hp. Baseline stock wheel hp is more like 228hp. The 240 is under-rated or the parasitic loss is like 5% (not likely). A Dinan Stage 1 tune gets you about 39HP..(not 59 net) so you're around 267whp. My car with just a mild Stage 1 puts out 248-250whp and 317wtq. I wasn't looking at wringing every last possible HP out of the tune as I wanted some built in safety. I doubt you'll ever see 350WHP on the N26 for any length of time (read =Kaboom).
The N26 is the same as the N20; the only differences really are the more restrictive Cat(s) that supposedly pull the power down. I haven't seen an N20 dyno that says it's significantly more than an N26 honestly. The rest of the parts on my car (hoses, etc.) all say N20.

so your telling me I'm not really losting out on having the n26 vs the n20 engine. Everywhere I looked everyone was oh the n20 is the best its comes from the "n54/n55"and the n26 is a waste of time... I was like WTF but now knowing I can tune it and have some reliable long-term fun with it. I can live with that now I just need to look at breaks and suspension setup. any tips on those two???
