The difference is just under 1" in diameter, which would equal less than 1/2" on the top and bottom. This would only raise the ride height 1/2" and bring the tire 1/2" taller. I don't think the difference is huge. The tread width and section width remain the same as the 35 series.

Those look pretty good! I don't know that a 9" wheel is what I am looking for though. I don't like the rim sticking out further than the tire, and I think you would need at least a 255 or 265 to fit that way on a 9" rim. I don't think I could fit that with all stock suspension, which I intend to keep.
