To get more "meat," consider a 17" wheel. 245/40/17 would be almost an identical diameter. I have run 17s on my M135i and then my M235i. The 17s should perform at least as well if not better than the 18s and be less vulnerable to both potholes and curbs.

I have considered 17't but have not found a wheel I like and is lightweight.
What do you think it would hit/rub on being taller?
