Probably too tall. There is an excellent alternative, however. A 42 offset with 245s should be excellent for a square set up.
To get more "meat," consider a 17" wheel. 245/40/
17 would be almost an identical diameter. I have run 17s on my M135i and then my M235i. The 17s should perform at least as well if not better than the 18s and be less vulnerable to both potholes and curbs.
