So today I am testing out bimmercode on my m240i that I have just gotten early this week.

I coded out ASD, then went on the FEM and turn off auto on n off and also did the auto fold mirror and convenient closing. This time when I press code, during the coding a series of notification come and gone. when all this is over, I notice 2 notification stayed and it was left side and right side high beam malfunction.

I tried the high beam and it seems to still shoot out a light.

I tried coding back to backup but the notifications stayed.

Anyone gone through this before?

p.s. The car is pretty new to me so I can't say for sure if the notifications has been there before the coding. My gut say I would have notice an alert like that previously.


EDIT: Found out that it is normal and according to bimmercode a short time after coding, an error can show and its temporary and its due to the reset of control unit and thus not reachable for other control unit resulting in error being shown.

Went back to my car and sure enough the error is gone.
