so i got to testdrive a 228i today, and while i agree with most that there's ample power in the 4ycl, there's so many things within the cabin that just doesn't sit right with me.

Coming from a e92 with hydraulic steering, maneuvering the car certainly reminded me more of a japanese car, a lot lighter and less grounded, but i suppose same can be said of any car with electric steering...going into sport mode made the gear shifts more exciting but not overly so that i felt like going from an e92 to a f22 was a tangible improvement in driving experience (and the 25k I would've have had to cough up for the update).

Also with the 228i, lotsa creature comforts were forewent, 4:3 LCD biz nav system annoyed me more than i could ever imagine and the lack of electric seat adjustments just reminded me of my good ol days in a corolla/i30.

I'm scheduling in a date for a m235i testdrive when the dealer gets hold of it, i'm hoping it would be the upgrade i've been looking for.
