Tread Widths: 255 F & R
Offsets: 42 F & 58 R
Wheel Sizes: 17X9 F & 18X9½ R (Apex ARC-8)
Spacer: 5mm R
Camber Settings: -1.9° F & -1.6° R
Drops: -1¼" F & -1" R

Clearly, 265s will fit back there (likely with a further camber and/or spacer change):
I like the look of your car! I am also a fan of 17" wheels. For my M135i and my M235i, I had a set of summer and winter 17s. Wheel and tire combination for 17s is lighter and the ride quality is notably improved compared to the 18s. No discernible difference in performance. Going to a square set up seems to affect the performance more than 17 vs 18 wheel diameter.

Currently have a square set up with 18s on my current M240i. Looking for a set of 17s -- also with the same size wheels and tires at all four corners.
