and they're on!
Winters are on, just after first hard frost here in DC area. Turned into a project.
I couldn't get the lug nuts off with my home compressor/wrench, so I took it to a small tire shop nearby. They broke the lug key on the second wheel. Those BMW locks are very good - the shop tried their 'special tools' but couldn't budge the locked lugs.
Drove the car with the one 17" snow and three 18" summers to the BMW dealer, where for a small (hah!) fee the locks were extracted with the master key and the swap completed.
I like the look with the square 17" wheels. Ride is very smooth with a bit more tire noise than the summers.
