Thanks! The cutting of the foam was the hard part. The right way to cut through the foam is by making a hot wire cutter. I really didn't feel like taking on a small project to start this foam cutting project so I just used a razor blade. The cuts are just not as clean as they would be with a hot wire cutter. But I can totally live with it.

The reason I say it's not finished is because I still need to glue the piece of foam that I cut out to the solid piece of foam underneath. Then I need to glue the foam risers that are underneath the gun in place. Once everything has dried, coat the foam with a layer of black plastidip. The plastidip gives the foam added durability and prevents it from tearing while pulling the gun in and out.
