It's an easy install. BUT if you have the ZF8 and you put the wrong final ratio in, you will get a dash warning to slow down from your transmission computer. For me it always happened at, if I remember correctly, 70 miles per hour.

I did my homework and apparently it can be coded with special coding tools, NOT the typical ones, and I made the decision to get the right one and sold the other and learned a lesson to be more careful with part numbers.

I have no direct experiences, but if you don't have the ZF8, only your speedometer will be way off but you won't get a warning every time to get on the highway.

Thanks for the info! I have a ZF8 and don't want to do any extra coding or have the speedo be way off so I'll go for the 2.81.
