You need to maintain the original airbag...they are not interchangeable between series. Also, the specific performance of the bag may vary with a series between coupe and convertible due to different crash pulses relating to the body structure. Check air bag part numbers. I've noted that the shape of the center hub varies across some models, so this may/may not be a factor.
Also, I've read some have lost the heated steering wheel feature when making a swap.
