'15 228i here with Stage2.
The only think I "broke" was the charge pipe and DV, and that was before mounting the FMIC.
So, for the safety of the car follow all the instructions: FMIC, pipes, maintenance and take care of fuel quality.
These cars run really hot, so I advise more frequent oil changes than supposed.
NOTE: Probably my DV got "cooked" 'cause I was running it hard without the FMIC.
