I would like to have my car dropped 15mm on H&R springs, and the OEM 18" staggered wheels (with OEM size tires) to be flush with the fenders using spacers. For summer I'd like to buy 18" wheels sized presisely so that both setups look (and drive) identically. Here is my plan; please correct me if I'm making some errroneous assumptions here:

1. With my winter OEM 18" wheels on, I replace the springs to drop the car
2. I test various spacer thicknesses until I achieve my goal - the winter tires flush with fenders (am I to expect a need to use spacers as thick as stated in the above quote?); when ready I have my winter setup done
3. Now I calculate ETs for my 7.5x18 (f) and 8x18 (r) forged wheels I want to custom-Order for summer:

Front: 45-18=27 (30 for safety)
Rear: 52-26= 26 (28 for safety)*

*Just noticed the minimum width of BC Forged 18" wheels is 8", so if I want them staggered they must be 8" (f) and 8.5" (r). This of course will influence the above minimum ET offsets calculations by adding quarter of an inch per side, i.e. ca 6 mm - so my offsets would need to be circa 35 mm for both front and rear

4. I order e.g. BC Forged 8x18 ET35 and 8.5x18 ET35, and - using them with 225/40R18 (f) and 245(255)/35R18 (r) tires - I have now almost exactly the same stance, ride and handling as with my OEM-wheel based winter setup.

Do I make any error in the above assumptions?

PS. Why am I thinking of 18 and not 19" summer setup, and with the wheels and tires of exactly the same widths as my OEM staggered ones?

1. Because my BMW dealer is threatening me that with anything more aggressive, I'll lose my entire drivetrain warranty...

2. Because with lower ET values AND wheel diameter, the concave effect should be the most pronounced - am I right here?

3. Last but not least: because I want my car to look and handle the same throughout the year, and not differently in summer than in winter
