With the exception of the LED taillights, there's really not much here that makes me wish for a 2018.

Particularly the gauges. That new style solves the no-backlighting-during-the-day issue, but it's a very Lexus and last-gen WRX solve that isn't distinctive at all to my eyes. It will be interesting to see if the menus include a coding-not-required option for speed and engine temp.

The new dash design is not executed well at all. Lines aren't parallel, and there's too much use of gloss black. The cupholder cover doesn't appear to be very integrated-looking, either.

I'm really surprised that LED headlights are standard, considering how panned they've been in BMW models to date. Plainly BMW is banking on the tech, but these likely won't be a good as the Xenons.

Can't wait for some feedback when these arrive around September.
