The controller itself has a touch pad on the top, I'm not sure what needs to be optioned or even if it's available on a 2 series from the factory. It fits the trim as it's the same foot print as A nav optioned idrive, and will work on our Idrive as we share same system as the 3 series (and nbt bmw) that being said the touch is available for f30s and would work on f22
