There are another issue with M235 with ZF automatic transmission. ZF 8HP45 is rated for maximum 450NM of torque or 330 FT/LB. I know a few racing teams who already replaced this transmission on their M235R cup cars even though racing version has the same 333 hp and under 460 Nm torque as standard M235i. So it is good idea to keep torque under 450Nm if you decide to put JB4 or any other chip. Power is not the problem. You can easily have 450 Nm of torque (330 Ft/lbs) and 400 whp by adding more boost on hight RPM. This way your transmission will last much longer and you'll have much less turbo lag and better throttle response with the engine.
"The volume production basic transmission, designed for up to 450 Nm, a maximum engine speed of 7,200 rpm and a racing service life of 30,000 kilometers
