Scroll through the instrument cluster menu pressing the end button on the turn signal stalk until you come to the temp icon. Let it be for a second and the oil temperature reading will pop up. I have the 2019 model, so maybe this is not available on earlier models?
Update: Just looked at the ordering guides for 2018 and 2019 and the "Instrument cluster with extended contents" was part of the premium pkg for 2018 but now standard for 2019. The Universal garage door opener, however, was moved from the 2018 M Sport pkg to the 2019 premium pkg. Since I don't have the premium pkg, had to get a Chamberlain universal garage opener remote controller from Amazon.
