AN early oil change is (I think) part of the M car service routine...maybe it's the tighter tolerances of their engines, or whatever. In most cases, it doesn't really matter, but it won't hurt anything except your pocketbook, if you have to pay for it.
My thought, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
