Not sure if it is car specific or different in the M240i, but in our M240i my wife has to actually turn the heat down from position 3 after a short while. This is the first car she has done that, including the 2003 VW that had a recall on the seat heaters as they tended to get too hot and set the seats on fire
. They are quite a bit hotter than the ones in our Golf R or previous 135i.
