Seafoam Valve Cleaner

Forgive me if this has been covered, I’m new to the DIY car world but have so far done all the work on this car myself.
I bought a used m235i with 38k miles and have upgraded everything to FBO. Decided I should try to clean the engine since I don’t know if that was done by previous owner. I’m using the spray can to clean the intake side and figured I’d just unhook the charge pipe, feed the little spray hose in, clamp it back up and follow the directions, but it seems the clamp is too tight and it’s just closed off the spray hose. Is there a trick to doing this? Can I do this into the air intake (passed the MAF), or will that hurt the turbo/FMIC? Appreciate the help
