thought I'd share...
I was under the impression that I had the dreaded OFHG leak and almost pulled the trigger on parts yesterday.
but I waited.
did some more looking And feeling....tasted it too....that shit was NOT oil. turns out there's a plastic coolant part that attaches to the filter housing that fails. that location made much more sense for the leak based on the wet dust patter.
wanted to throw this out there for anyone else about to Rip off their intake to replace the oil filter gasket!
