Can you please explain me how a FWD chassis (UKL), with a transversely mounted engine over the front axle, can be modulated to accommodate a longitudinally mounted engine "behind" the front axle? That is like saying the i8 can be adapted to fit a longitudinally mid-mounted V8.
I don't see how can it be cheaper, than just using a smaller 35-up chassis. What about the manufacturing process?
