I actually drove the two back-to-back at the same dealer.

Pluses for the E92 M3 - more engaging to drive, much better steering feel, firmer suspension, better sounding engine (fun to wind it up to 8k RPM), better seats and interior quality.

Pluses for the F22 - More torque, feels faster driving it under normal conditions, feels lighter, modern tech.

Ultimately I wanted something newer and the F22 won, considering fuel economy is about 50% better, lower maintenance costs, insurance, etc.

To the OP, did you consider the cars currently for sale on this board? There are quite a few manual M235i/M240i that are posted here.
