Hi Harry, yes that was me. Hope you're well.
You will definitively feel the difference and I think it is worth it, but that is a personal, subjective opinion. The car feels more planted on corner exit and the DSC doesn't interfere as much. This is especially welcome on a tuned car with higher torque.
I have not had any problems with it.

Mine was cheaper than the prices you posted because I took advantage of a holiday sale that BMW had online and the service manager at Reeves Tampa gave me a good price on install. Diff was ~$1500 and install was ~$500.
I think ~$3300 installed is high and may not be worth it to you. But, if you wait for a sale and negotiate a lower install price, I don't think you'd regret it.
