Fans should come on with a/c.

The easiest way to check if fans come on is start the car with the hood down and listen for them or throw a piece of paper on the grille and wait for a visual sign. You could get one of the obII adapters and one of the apps to monitor temps and check for error codes while doing this.

It sounds like a fan not coming on issue due to your a/c getting warm. Your a/c's condenser needs to be cooled in order to produce cold air which is near your radiator...


Cooling problems are generally related to one or more of the following:

- electric fan not functioning or manual fan
- low coolant likely due to a leak or weak point in system
- Engine timing is quite off or fueling problem
- Head gasket leak
- Water Pump not functioning
- Thermostat not opening
- clogged cooling system
