Comfort does not modify the engine output, it modifies the throttle input.

Sport mode has a very steep throttle tip in which means you get much more throttle which much less pedal, which makes the response seem ultra aggressive.

Comfort is linear, so to get the same amount of throttle you need to dig much deeper into the pedal travel.
