I got it when I purchased my 335 because I was able to get the same coverage from the same company that BMW uses via a 3rd party seller very cheaply ($350 for 5 years).

I bent a wheel on a pothole one winter. That wasn't covered (the wheel still held air, even though it was so out of round it could not be balanced). It also didn't cover a wheel that got curb rash.

After 5 years, I finally used it just before it expired, replacing two bubbled tires (I was on GoFlat tires at that point). Having the insurance covered the $340 tire cost. So, at the end of the day, they kept my money for 5 years, didn't cover two damaged wheels, then ultimately gave me back all but $10 of it.

FWIW, I didn't get it for my M235.
