OE replacement is 94R-850

Optional (convertible?) is 49-950

I would prefer to use the 49-950 because of the higher CCA and Reserve Capacity; however I don't know if there would be any issue with fitment (1.5 in. longer) or registration.
A few questions:
Will the 49-950 fit, register and function without any modification or issue?
Some battery descriptions/specs include the note "with SAE posts". Do our batteries have SAE or metric posts?
TIA.
The longer battery will fit as the mounting bracket will accommodate either. And both batteries have enough capacity although the 49-950 does have a bit more. But it is also heavier. I don't remember how much heavier but it was not insignificant. Both can be coded with whatever tool you have and no special tools are needed for the swap.

There are some pictures of mine in this thread.
