I'd go with tumbled marble for shower floor. I have a mix of tumbled marble and glass mosaic on my shower floor. No problems with grip.
Not happy with the performance of our Dark Emperador marble counter top in the master bath. Needs to be polished.
We have french cut, chiseled edge marble throughout the main part of the house. Love it. Has held up really well and never looks dirty. Score!
