Just spoke with the service department of my dealership and it looks like because the car is out of warranty the best BMW can do is offer a 80/20 split on the cost of a new transfer case. The part is about $6000. Is this a good offer? This is the second transfer case and it seems like both were defective. The second one failed after only 15000km or so. I'm about 3000km out of warranty.
