I just finished installing a pair of Etons this afternoon (install write up in another thread) after unplugging the center last weekend, and I've got to say I am impressed. I think you nailed it with "refined" - none of the blurry smear that I had gotten used to with the HK. I realized I had gotten accustomed to music being a bit grating in the car, it was nice to hear clear music again.
JLs are scheduled to arrive soon, hopefully in time for sunny weather this weekend.
