The car adapts instantly but for me it seems to get better the more you drive it in that setting, with Racechip you don't need to go into Sport or Sport+ in order to feel it
I do recommend from my own testing that 50-100 miles is where I noticed it even more as well you get to see the MPG numbers.

I drive mostly in EcoPro where there is most lag and it is gone now. Comfort is much more awake than EcoPro and I go into Sport for curves or when I want to be as aggressive as possible with Sport+ and more steering feel control.
