Extra support if you want
After fully lifted it locks in place. I also put Jack stand under each frame end which gives a second bit of safety. In addition I have wood blocks that will slide under each tire. So I have a very solid platform if I am under the car. My nephew changed his motor and trans with one of these these lifts under his M Car.
