It depends on what you are after, but there aren't a whole lot of advantages at least in my opinion. if someone feels they need a wider rear tire for performance or appearance it can be useful but I tend to recommend square setups with xDrive cars. These cars aren't as traction limited (under acceleration) as the RWD cars for obvious reasons and I value the ability to rotate wheels/tires between the front and rear axles for more even tire wear.

With that being said, many of our customers want to get wider tires than the OE both in the front and the rear which necessitates a staggered setup with this chassis (if your car came with 225/245) and our available wheel choices. Staggered can work well with the right tire choices so I would say the majority of our m235/m240 customers end up going staggered. Its a personal choice at the end of the day.
