I recently asked BMW Genius about timing for next 2 series and got this response today:
Hi,
Thanks for contacting the BMW Genius Team regarding the BMW 2 Series.
We can confirm the end of production for the 2019 BMW 2 Series is February 2019. At this time, we do not have any public information as to the release of the 2020 version.
