When speaking with the creator, I thought about another thread (
Generation Gap: Ranking each and every BMW 3 Series model ) I've been following as he talked about the previous ///M variants he most admired - all from the past. He also seemed to feel as I and I'm sure many on this forum would agree, that the current 2 series was the best modern / current example of those greats from the past.
Seemed that both the creator and the reviewer felt that power, naught to 60 times, lap times etc. weren't the most important considerations in a car and that a (tuned) 2 series did fit the bill for the things they DID find important.
