Scan the car, you most likely have an error for the valve so probably the car acts as if it's always in comfort because you are not supposed to open the valves while the car is stationary ( noise and emissions standards ).
Best is to leave the valve connected and remove the fixing bow (
see piece 9 ) and then lock the valve into open position.
The ECU will still try to open / close, but since the actuator is not connected to the valve, nothing will happen.
