They pulled out attached together and were in a corner of the connector. I saw mention of this in some Bimmertech installation videos. You needed to pull them out of original connector, and move them over to the Carplay module connector that now replaced the original connector into your head unit, in the identical slots. They said these were digital feed wires, but I thought they were for audio. Perhaps this is your issue?

Turns out i didn't transfer the Fiber optic cable! Sucks i had to take the car apart to connect the stupid cable but i'm so happy i was able to find what's wrong. It's amazing you knew exactly what's wrong! Anyway, i'm happy to have my time back lol
