Is there plenty of room to leave the original connector dangling as suggested in the DIY? Just tape it somewhere? |
You could use electrical tape and just strap it on the original cable. I removed the original harness on mines and just taped up the live tips of the two extra wires.
After I saw how great the LCIs looked, I knew I was never going to reverse it. 
The two wires are ground cables anyway, nothing that could short the fuses. |
