Luckily I had a spare iPhone 6S around to test this out. Bad news is you need to jailbreak it. I used unc0ver and Cydia Impactor to do so, you can find them here:

Once you have successfull jailbroken your iPhone you need to add chariz.io & rpetri.ch repositories to Cydia and finally get the Carbridge app.

You can then enable every app for CarPlay you ever wanted to as also delete the ones you never needed anyways.
