I picked up an Electric Silver Volvo V70R at the factory in Göteborg back in 2006. I tried to explain (because some people like that color!), but I don't think she understood.
Later I learned that flashy colors, whether in cars or in clothing, are not generally accepted style in Sweden. No doubt there are exceptions - e.g., a lady wearing a red dress to a Christmas party.
